Everything We Know About the OnePlus Nord CE 5G

Believed to be the successor the the OnePlus Nord 10, the OnePlus Nord Core Edition — better known as the OnePlus Nord CE 5G — is set to be available to pre-order on June 11, according to the latest rumors, after an announcement as soon as next week.

OnePlus, of course, is still yet to confirm the handset exists. Everything we’ve heard about it to date comes from seemingly credible leaks — including the above render, which shows the device looking remarkably similar to the OnePlus Nord 10.

OnePlus, it’s me

The most obvious physical difference is the OnePlus Nord CE 5G doesn’t appear to have a fingerprint reader on the rear. However, OnePlus hasn’t ditched the form of biometric authentication entirely. It’s now rumored to reside under the screen.

On the raw specification side, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is said to feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, with a 16MP front-facing corner in the top-left corner, a Snapdragon 750G CPU, 6/8GB of RAM,a tri-camera on the rear, and a 4500mAh battery.

Samsung, is that you?

That tri-camera is reportedly made up of a 64MP OmniVision sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The device will be available with 64GB of internal storage or 128GB of internal storage, so there’s plenty of space for all your snaps.

0 to 70 in around 1800 seconds

With that type of hardware, you’re going to want to be shooting, sharing, watching and playing a lot. Fortunately, it has OnePlus Warp Charge 30T on board to keep charging time to a minimum. This should take it from 0% to 70% in roughly half an hour.

For comparison, the OnePlus Nord 10, which launched in October 2021, has a 6.4-inch FHD+ IPS screen, a not-as-powerful Snapdragon 690 GPU, the same tri-camera setup, a 16MP selfie shooter, 16GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 4300mAh battery.

The addition of the 6GB/64GB variant of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G should allow OnePlus to start pricing for the handset cheaper than the OnePlus Nord N10, which should curb criticism that it was a bit too expensive for the budget device is was meant to be.

OnePlus is rumored to announce the OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India and select countries in Europe on June 10. It should be available to pre-order on June 11. There’s still no (credible) word on pricing, but we’ll update this article as soon as we hear more.
